Disgraced R. Kelly back in the dock for further sex offence charges in Chicago 
Fallen R&B musician Robert Kelly is back in court this week to face further charges relating to his sex crimes in the United States of America. 
Kelly is already serving 30 years behind bars for sex offences but he is facing more charges and the jury selection started on Monday. 
AFP has it that jury selection began on Monday in the latest case which is being tried in the 55-year-old’s hometown of Chicago. 
The award winner, Robert Sylvester Kelly, was found guilty and convicted in New York in September owing to his involvement in recruiting teenagers and women for sex. 

The I’m A Bad Man singer was found on the wrong side of the law, he was found guilty of eight charges of sex trafficking and one count of racketeering. 
It is reported that in the Chicago case, Kelly and two ex-associates are accused of rigging the singer’s 2008 child pornography trial in which the jury delivered a verdict of not guilty. 
“A minor victim, who has not been identified, declined to testify in the 2008 trial because of alleged threats and bribes, but is expected to take the witness stand this time,” reports AFP. 
“Kelly, a three-time Grammy Award-winner, is charged with obstruction of justice, producing child pornography, and illegal sexual activity with a minor. 
“Also facing charges are Kelly’s former manager, Derrel McDavid, and an ex-employee, Milton “June” Brown. The trial is expected to last around four weeks.” 
However, Kelly’s legal team led by attorney, Jennifer Bonjean, filed a motion pleading with everyone who watched a documentary called Surviving R. Kelly be disqualified from service. 
Meanwhile, Entertainment SA previously reported that Joycelyn Savage defended the embattled singer, claiming she is engaged to him. 
“I’m writing this letter in support of Robert in advance of his sentencing, so I can explain to the court that I’m not the victim that the government has portrayed me to be,” said Savage in her testimony.
