Nigerian hip-hop recording artist, Ice Prince panshak Zamani has been arrested for abduction and assaulting a Police officer. The former chocolate city co-founder is set to be arraigned in court today, September 2.

According to the spokesperson of Lagos State Police command, Benjamin Hundeyin said that Ice Prince Zamani was seen driving without a number plate and was flagged down by police officers. In the attempt to take him to the police station which he had earlier agreed on, he thereafter abducted and assaulted the police officer in his car and threatened to throw him inside the river.

At 3 am today, @Iceprincezamani was stopped for driving without license plates. He agreed to be taken to the station. He, thereafter, abducted the police officer in his car, assaulted him, and threatened to throw him in the lagoon. He has been arrested and would be arraigned today. He twitted

This is coming a few days after Lagos State Police Command stated that singer Daniel Benson, professionally known as BNXN, will face sanctions for assaulting and spitting on a police officer.

It’s been a series of squabbles between the police and celebrities in the past month which had some Twitter users calling for another end-sars protest.
