Joe Cole, a former Chelsea star, said that it was unfair to fire Thomas Tuchel.
After a shaky start to the season, Tuchel merited some time to get things together, in Cole’s opinion.
Joe Cole, a former Chelsea and England player, responded to a question on Tuchel’s dismissal by telling the FIVE YouTube channel: “I’m pleased to say I think it was the wrong choice to get go of Thomas Tuchel. He had a strong bond with Chelsea’s supporters and was a champion.
“It’s true that he was going through a rough time, but getting rid of him was harsh. What was done about it? There is no good way to get rid of a manager, but I believe they should have stuck with him instead of making this choice.
When the team was struggling under sanctions last season, Manchester United sought to lure Tuchel away, but he opted to stay at Chelsea.
Manchester, who have already selected Erik ten Hag for the long term, will allegedly be cursing themselves for missing out on the German, according to Joe Cole.
“I feel for Thomas Tuchel, it’s terrible because he’s a top manager,” Joe Cole continued.
“I’ll tell you who will be slightly cursing themselves: Man United. They probably wish this had occurred three or four months earlier.
Although the Ten Hag period is now promising, Thomas Tuchel is exactly what Manchester United needs. He is the kind of person who can inspire a crowd. Thomas Tuchel is a distinct animal, in my opinion.
