Erling Haaland, who is only 22 years old, has 183 career goals. He hasn’t stopped since he started scoring with Bryne. He has scored goals for Molde, RB Salzburg, Borussia Dortmund, and recently Manchester City.
In his last six games for the Sky Blues, he has scored a total of six goals. One and a half goals per game. Under normal conditions, that would be unexpected, but the Norwegian has long since stopped being typical.
Due to his hat trick against Crystal Palace, he was the key driver of the comeback. Along with Sergio Ageero, Diego Costa, and Micky Quinn, he is the fourth player in Premier League history to score at least six goals in his first four appearances.
In the press conference that followed, Pep Guardiola praised him for his hard work, saying, “He’s done what he’s done his whole life, in Salzburg and everywhere he’s been, he’s scored goals. I get the impression that he is always in the game, even if he doesn’t touch the ball. He’s always in the mix. For a striker, that is incredible. He places the ball where he wants it rather than kicking it. The number of goals he has scored is incredible, in my opinion.
“The three were all good goals, the last one in particular, but also the first one. The most crucial fact is that he has integrated seamlessly and is a really humble man, the speaker continued.
