Popular Nollywood actress Funke Akindele, also known as Jennifer, has revealed some of the difficult moments she has faced in her life, which have made her consider suicide, while also stating how her story could have a positive impact on the lives of young ladies.
In a video that was posted on the official YouTube channel of With Chude during an interview, she disclosed that she was very curious to get married and have children of her own but that her marriage did not end the way she hoped for, saying that she almost died at that time.
In her statement, she said, “I’m only sharing the story with people in order to encourage the young ladies that are eager and pressured to get married.
Some young ladies want marriage in order to copy their married friends, but they really need to calm down and take their time because if they rush into a marriage, they will rush out of it as well. I was very eager to marry and have kids, but my marriage ended badly, and I almost died. I cried a lot, and I lost some good deals, but I didn’t allow the situation to break me down.”
